On-Trail Navigation - 2026

Navigation Course

On-Trail Navigation

Learn and practice key skills needed to maintain an ongoing awareness of where you are and how to find yourself if you get lost on even the most complicated trail system.

This hands-on course, tailored to on-trail adventurers, provides information on key skills and tools, and hands-on practice on trail, to become confident reading a topographic map against the features of the terrain around you, get important information from a compass and altimeter, and maintain clear awareness of where you are as well as how to find yourself if you get temporarily misplaced.

Register for one workshop and one field trip set within the same month.
