Balance isn’t about standing on one leg—it’s about staying steady when the trail tilts, rocks move, elements get challenging, or fatigue sets in. Furthermore, we'll cover training with different head, neck, and eye positions because, let's face it, we're usually on the move when most slips happen, not static and facing forward!
You’ll leave with practical, progressive ideas for improving balance and stability that fit easily into daily life and training. These tools support hikers, scramblers, trekkers, backpackers, and climbers alike, helping you feel more secure, capable, and relaxed as the terrain gets more interesting.
Second in a series of four for spring 2026 - join one or all. The others are Feb. 11, Mar. 20 and April 22.
Meet in Goodman A at the Seattle Program Center in Magnuson Park for this interactive, in-person seminar from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Come dressed in comfortable clothing, ready to try things, and bring your questions.
