This loop hike will take us up Mt. Washington, just off of I-90.  We will continue to Change Peak to get the extra mileage and elevation gain. The WTA has a good description of the Mt. Washington portion of the hike:  https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/mount-washington-1

This hike has nearly identical distance and elevation stats to Mt. Si but is much less crowded. On a clear day, we can enjoy beautiful views of Mt. Rainier and the Cedar River Watershed from the top.

We will meet at Tibbetts Park and Ride in Issaquah next to the skateboard park at 6:45 am, then carpool up to the trailhead.  If you want to meet us at the trailhead, be ready to hike by 7:30 am.

Directions to Tibbetts Park and Ride:  Take exit 15 (WA-900 W/17th Avenue NW) off eastbound I-90 and turn right at the bottom of the ramp. Drive approximately ½ mile, then turn left on Newport Way NW. Take the first right into the Tibbetts Valley Skateboard Park/Park & Ride (not the multi-level parking garage on your left or the parking lot further up Newport Way.)  We will be at the far side near the port-a-potty.

Direction to the trailhead: From Seattle drive east on I-90 to exit 38. Head south (right), immediately crossing the South Fork Snoqualmie River, and take the first right turn into Ollalie State Park, a few hundred feet from the highway. Follow the gravel road to the end and park near the bathrooms at the west end of the lot.

The Discover Pass is required for parking.
