Let's meet at 8:00AM at "Preston Park and Ride" located off of I-90 Exit #22 (either direction). The Park and Ride is located just North of the highway.

Get ready for a little bit of a thigh buster with some glorious views on top.

We'll start off fairly easy and then the switchbacks disappear and we hit it hard for about a mile or so. Once we make the ridge line heading towards our summit we're rewarded with big views of Cle Elum Lake. And then once on top of Ol' Baldy looking north you can easily pick out nearby Red Mountain, along with Mt. Daniel and Glacier Peak  in the distance. To the East is Jolly and Hex Mountain  just above Cle Elum Lake, with Mt. Stuart beyond. The plains of eastern Washington stretch toward the horizon as you sweep you view southward over neighboring Domeire Peak to take in Mt. Rainier. And then swinging back around and looking  NorthWest you can pick out  Silver Peak, Abiel Peak and other Snoqualmie Pass peaks.

Trail has some slick sandy areas so poles are recommended.
