Carpooling  will be arranged once people have signed up, but here is the general plan: In order to run the shuttle, we need excess passenger capacity so won't be able to have maximum carpooling. All people and cars will gather at the Pratt Lake/Granite Lake trailhead (where the hike will end)--Exit 47 off I-90. We will leave enough cars there to return everybody to the start when the hike is over. Then we will pile into the remaining cars and drive to the start at the Denny Creek/Melakwa Lake trailhead.  A USFS FOREST PASS IS REQUIRED AT BOTH TRAILHEADS.

Both parking lots fill up quickly so we will need to get an early start--TBD, but I'm considering 8 AM at the first trailhead. This will allow for at least a brief swim at each lake (although in between lakes we will move along at a steady pace)--still allowing those who need to go to work on Monday to get home at a reasonable time.

One of my favorite almost-loops (short car shuttle needed) in the Snoqualmie Pass area; 14.5 miles and 3500 feet total gain. No single high summit, but we will visit 3 lakes (bring water shoes/sandals to take a dip!) and view waterfalls and a 4th lake. The drive is moderate, and a further blessing on a hot day is that the route is mostly shaded after the climb to our first lake (Melakwa). This is just one of the many loop, pretzel, and figure-eight day trips in the subalpine lakes area just north of I-90.  The Snoqualmie Pass Gateway map (Green Trails 207S) is a great resource. Please consider buying it so you can plan your own trips in this delightful area. I am happy to point out other favorites (as well as ones on my "to do" list).
