CHS 2 Hike - Lily & Lizard Lakes

A moderate day hike to two unique lakes in the Blanchard Forest just south of Bellingham in the Chuckanut Mountains. Hike up the Lily Lake Trail, then in to Lizard Lake and return making a loop via the British Army Trail. CHS 2 hike led at a pace of 2.0-3.0 mph.

Cook Road Park & Ride, 8:15 am. We’ll caravan to the Upper Trailhead from there, departing at 8:30. Discover Pass Required to park at the trailhead.

Take exit 232, Cook Road, from I-5 northbound.  At the stop sign turn right, then right again at the light. Parking area on your left, Starbucks on right.

ROUTE:  We’ll take the Lily Lake Trail to Lizard Lizard and loop back around via the Lizard-Lily Connector and Max’s Shortcut.

COVID -19: Following the Mountaineer’s protocol all hikers are required to have face masks and hand sanitizer.  Masks must be worn at the trailhead, when passing other hikers or being passed, and any time social distance of at least 6ft cannot be maintained.
