CHS 2 Hike - Kendall Katwalk

CHS hike led at a CHS 2 pace (2.0-3.0 mph). We'll plan to hike to Ridge Lake.

  • Strenuous
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 15.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 3,100 ft
  • Pace: 2.0-3.0 mph

Please see Hello Hiker email.

Kendall Katwalk is a portion of this extremely popular hike that will take us on the Pacific Crest Trail north from I90.  Portions of this trail have been carved out by dynamite and there are a few portions of the trail that are narrow with a precipitous drop off.  Please be aware.  There are some downed logs, one of which we’ll likely need to remove backpacks, pass backpacks under, then crawl under.  Hopefully we'll get to Ridge Lake, and we could have a longer break there for lunch. We'll then head down the same way back to the trailhead.
