This is an out-and-back hike to Five Mile Island campsite where we will stop for lunch and a rest. I'm expecting the hike to take 4 hours plus time for lunch and rests - plan for total trip time of 5 hours.

Tentatively planning to leave the Coastal Cleanup accommodations in Forks around 9am. It’s a 30 mile / 50 min drive to the Hoh Rainforest Visitor Center where the trailhead is.
The hike is in the Olympic National Park and each car will need a National Park pass to enter the park.
