CHS 2 Hike - Enchantments Traverse
CHS 2 GRADUATION HIKE. A long, strenuous traverse through one of the most beautiful alpine settings on earth, The Enchantments in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. This trail heads over ridges, through alpine meadows and a medley of lakes, granite peaks and subalpine larches. Led at a CHS 2 pace (2.0-3.0 mph).

This hike will start very early in the dark from the Colchuck lake trailhead. It will require staying overnight in the area the Friday before. It’s also suggested you stay on Saturday night after returning as it could be very late. Once signups are complete, leader will send early emails with overnight info.
This hike involves a car shuttle and staying in/around Leavenworth, at least 1, if not 2 nights. This is a very strenuous hike!!! Participants who hope to complete this hike will need to be strong hikers; but also comfortable with a quick and steady moving speed. Asgard pass is a rock scramble of 2,000 ft in under 1 mi and needs to be completed before the heat of the day. Despite only being 18 mi, this hike will take at least 12 hours to complete! As mentioned, we will start in the dark and it’s not impossible to be ending in the dark either.
