We will begin our hike at Red Town Trailhead and wind our way on the northern side of Cougar Mountain to Sky Country Trailhead and then make our way to Harvey Manning Trailhead. We will stop at the “Million Dollar” viewpoint for a snack break before making our way to Coal Creek Falls and our starting point at Red Town Trailhead.
- Sturdy waterproof footwear and trekking poles are recommended and encouraged!
- Porta-potties are available at all three trailheads!
- Please bring small, energizing snacks that are easily consumed during our short 5-minute breaks or that you can eat on the go! A treat will be provided during our bunch break; a well-deserved energizing GF treat as we relax at the Million Dollar View!
- Please be prepared for off-trail travel as we may need to navigate around fallen trees or other obstacles. Also, be prepared to climb over or under trees that are blocking the trail. SAFETY will always be our priority.
My co-leader, Phoebe, and I are looking forward to sharing this 8-mile loop hike with you. More details about this hike will be provided in the “Hello Hiker” email.
