This hike is a grand tour of the beautiful hiking trails in Moran St. Park on Orcas Island. We will start at the Cold Springs TH on Cascade Lake and head up the hill to Cold Springs. After a short break there, we will hit the Little Summit Trail and take it to the top of Mt. Constitution. From there, we will head down the Mt. Constitution Trail to Twin Lakes and then take the Mt. Pickett Trail up and down Mt. Pickett, eventually getting to Mountain Lake. We will head counter clockwise around Mountain Lake. At the end of our lake loop, we will get to the dam and take the Cascade Creek Trail back to our starting point.
** IMPORTANT INFORMATION **
This hike is on Orcas Island, getting there requires a ferry trip from Anacortes and a couple nights on the island. You will need to arrive the day before the hike and will probably want to depart the day after. You will want to make ferry reservations and reserve lodging or a campsite. Camping is available at Moran State Park and at the West Beach Resort.
Meet at 7:00am at the Cold Springs TH on Cascade Lake. We will start hiking by 7:15am. You will need a Discover Pass for parking.
