CHS hike led at a CHS 1 pace (1.5-2.0 mph). This is a hike associated with the beach clean-up but is close enough to Seattle if you want to join on Sunday.

  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 6.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 200 ft

We'll hike at an easy pace through beautiful forests and around wetlands to a rocky shoreline along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The hike is relatively flat with a few climbs up and down. The trail in easy to navigate but can be muddy especially after a wet spring. We'll travel through several types of forests and spend some time exploring the rocky beach before heading back to our cars and the long ferry lines.

This is a great hike to break up long hours in the car and stretch your legs a bit.

If you're participating in the clean-up, we will meet at the ONRC common room. If joining the day of, we'll meet at the park at 10am. This does involve a ferry ride if coming over on the day of the hike.
