6:30am at the Brickyard Road Park and Ride.

This is a one-way car shuttle hike south on the Pacific Crest Trail starting at the Stevens Pass Ski Area.  We'll hike south on the PCT through the ski area and past Lake Susan Jane, then take the side trail to Josephine Lake for lunch. After returning to the PCT we'll continue south, passing over the saddle below Lux Peak on our way to Mig Lake and Hope Lake.  After Hope Lake will say au revoir to the PCT and take the Tunnel Creek Trail to the Tunnel Creek trailhead.

Even though we'll be hiking over 11 miles, the starting and ending trailheads are only about 15 minutes apart along Highway 2.  In the morning we'll leave a car or two at the Tunnel Creek trailhead before continuing on to the PCT trailhead at the Stevens Pass Ski area.  After the hike we'll drive back to the ski area to fetch our remaining cars.  The exact logistics are TBD depending on the number of cars and drivers.

The finish trailhead is about 1000' lower than the starting trailhead.  The route has an elevation gain of approximately 2500' and an elevation loss of approximately 3500'.

After the hike the tentative plan is to stop at the Alpine Drive-In in Sultan (36023 Old Sultan-Startup Rd, Sultan, WA 98294).
