CHS 1 Hike - Indian Bar-Cowlitz Divide

CHS hike led at a CHS 1 pace (1.5-2.0 mph). Celebrate your CHS season following part of the Wonderland trail to Indian Bar. Amazing views of Mt Rainier and Ohanapecosh glacier.

5:15 at South Renton Park and Ride.

This is a strenuous hike, but the payoff is great views and serene meadows.  After ascending, we will then descend about 800 feet to Indian Bar where we will stop to eat and take in the scenery.  The descent means that we will have an ascent after lunch when we head back toward the trailhead.
