Magnificent views of the Columbia River and Mt Hood are just the beginning of this hike. We also interact with Washington's geology and wildflowers all day as we roam the hills above the Columbia River through oak forest and meadows. Your camera will be your 11th essential on this trail. This is on the east side of the mountains so can be warm and there are not many places to stop for water, be prepared for hot and dry conditions (extra water and electrolytes).
We'll meet in front of the Cascade Locks Inn at 7am to carpool over to the trailhead. This is a thru hike so we'll need at least 1 car at each trail head.
