We will hike the May Valley Loop in a clockwise direction. Here are the trails we will take: May Valley Loop trail – Perimeter Loop trail – Chybinski Loop trail – Bullitt Fireplace trail – Summit trail – Phil’s Creek trail – Equestrian trail and finish up back on the May Valley Loop trail. We will hike at a CHS-2 pace (2.0-3.0). If we expect a view we will stop at Debbie’s View. We will also take a short break at the Bullitt Fireplace.
We will do the hike rain or shine but will cancel if there are heavy winds.
We will meet at the Squak Mountain State Park parking lot. Please be ready to hike at 7:30 a.m.
The park is located just south of Issaquah. Exit I-90 at Exit 15 and turn southbound on Issaquah-Renton Road, drive 4 miles, then turn left on the May Valley Road. Drive 2.5 miles to the Squak Mountain State Park parking lot (21500 May Valley Road) on the left.
There is a pit-style toilet in the parking lot. A Discover pass is required to park at the trailhead.
