CHS Alumni Hike - Green Mountain (Glacier Peak)

Alumni-only hikes offered for graduates of Seattle CHS. A hike up to Green Mountain through woods and meadows, and ultimately up a high ridge to the historic Green Mountain Lookout, where we will have panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and a visit to the lookout.

Come see why Green Mountain still makes the short-list of Washington's all-time finest hikes. From woods to meadows to panoramic views and even a historic lookout, it just doesn't get much better than this.  Outstanding views of Glacier Peak on the way up, and panoramic views of the surrounding peaks from the lookout.  Expect lots of fall color and berries to pick on the way.

Meet at the Green Mountain Trailhead at 9:30AM.  There are no bathroom facilities at this trailhead.  No parking pass is required.   Note that the drive to this trailhead includes 25 miles on gravel forest service roads, and higher clearance vehicles are recommended.

Carpool Option:   Meet at the Ash Way Park and Ride in Lynnwood at 6:45AM.  It is a 88.8 mile drive to the trailhead from there.
