  • Easy/Moderate
  • Easy
  • Mileage: 4.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,250 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 2,000 ft
  • Pace: 1.5mph

We will meet at the Mountainside Drive Trailhead parking lot (47.522979, -122.057510) at 5:00PM. No parking pass is required.

Optional carpool arrangements can be made closer to the date of our hike.

The instructor will be bringing the shared meal in individually packaged bags to distribute to participants at the trailhead. Students will be expected to bring their own fuel, stove and cooking set, and will prepare their individual portion of the meal on trail. Students are strongly encouraged to bring their own additional snacks/food to supplement the shared meal.

We will hike together at an easy/moderate pace of 1.5 mph and will eat dinner together at the Bullitt Fireplace. Because of former mining activities there is no potable water in the park, so we will need to pack ample water for cooking/drinking.

Headlights are also required as we may be hiking out in the dark. Sunset will be at 9:10PM.
