We will meet at the Deception Crag parking lot at 8:30 a.m. Directions to the parking lot are below. I checked Google maps, and there's really no landmark or address to use to bring it up, so these directions will be your best bet. It's probably about a 40-45 minute drive from Seattle, if that helps. From the parking lot we'll hike in about a half mile to the crag.
From Seattle drive east on I-90 to exit 38. Turn right (south) onto old US 10 and, after crossing the South Fork Snoqualmie River, continue on this road as it veers left. About 0.7 mile from the freeway, find a parking area just before crossing Change Creek (if you find yourself on a rickety old bridge, you've gone a bit too far).
We practice climbing on real rock.
The plan for Saturday is to climb at Write off Rock at Deception Crag. There are a variety of routes there that offer a range of pretty easy to fairly difficult, so there will be something for everyone
