The Seattle Basic Refresher Clinics offer Basic Alpine Climbing graduates, and non-Mountaineer members with equivalent training and experience, the opportunity to review the skills and techniques they learned in the course. Cost per clinic: $0

This Seattle Basic Refresher Clinic - Fundamental Skills - covers the fundamental skills needed before venturing into the mountains.
Skills to be practiced:
- Climbing Knots
- Prussiking
- Top-rope and lead-climber belaying
- Belay Escape
- Rappelling (with extended rappel set-up and auto-block). An alternative carabine brake rappel system will be introduced.
Meet in the basement (enter on east side of building)
Clinic starts at 6pm and runs no longer than 9pm
Required Equipment
Standard alpine climbing gear.

Ice axes are NOT needed for this clinic.
