This is a skills refresher trip for Vineeth & Manisha's SIG. We will open the trip to other  members that are super volunteers or have helped with Basic FTs on the registration opening date. Please do not contact the leaders before the registration open date for permission. Thanks!

This  Seattle Basic Refresher Clinic - Crevasse Rescue - covers the rescue systems used to extract a climber who has fallen into a crevasse while on a Basic glacier climb with two or more rope teams.

Skills to be practiced:

  • Knots used on glacier climbs
  • Prusiking up a climbing rope
  • Pulley rescue systems
  • Safe setup and execution of a rescue system
  • Crevasse Rescue from a real crevasse
