If you are in Kate/Ryan's SIG, or we've climbed/hiked together in the past, you have permission to sign up! All others, please request permission and let me know what other hikes you've done recently.

We will hike up Cabel Line trail at your own pace, but we will travel together as a group coming back down on Cableline or West Tiger #3 trail depending on group's desire.

Pack weight and mountaineering boots are optional. Dress as appropriate for the weather as this hike will go regardless of the weather.

Meet at the trailhead at 5:30pm and be ready to go at 5:40pm. A discovery pass is needed for parking at the TH. There is no toilet at this trailhead.

The primary goal for the hike is to get a check on fitness and set expectations for the minimum fitness requirements for successful trips with the Basic Alpine Climbing Course.

In addition to your 10 Essentials, you'll need microspikes, along with a headlamp and extra batteries.   Weighted packs and mountaineering boots are optional, but a good idea to help you gauge your fitness and break in your boots.
