This is primarily a time trial for Basic Alpine Climbing students looking to fulfill the graduation requirement. For students in the Seattle course, this means hiking to the "lunch rocks" area at the top of Mt. Si in less than 2 hours with 20% of their body weight (no less than 25lbs and no more than 50lbs). But, this can also be a chance for others to get out for a longer weeknight conditioning hike.

We'll meet in the Mount Si trailhead parking lot at 6:15pm for a quick intro and to weigh packs. Then we'll hit the trail at 6:30pm sharp! At the top, we'll have a snack break and catch the 8:40pm sunset before descending as a group. Headlamps required.

In your permission request, let me know what other hikes/conditioning you've done recently. If you're part of the McCarthy-Johnson SIG, Foothills Basic Climbing, or you've been on my conditioners before, you have permission to register!

Meet in the Mount Si Trailhead parking lot by 6:15pm to weigh packs and do a quick introduction and briefing. Boots on the trail at 6:30pm sharp!
