This is the WM FT for Jeff's mentor group. Students from other mentor groups are welcome if we have spots open. Please do not sign up without permission.

This is an overnight FT. Students will need to dig and spend the night in a snow cave. Bring extra dry clothing and a bivy sack.

  • Flotation device (snowshoes or backcountry skis/split board)
  • Skins, ski crampons, repair kit if skiing
  • Beacon, shovel, probe
  • Bivy sack, sleeping bag, sleeping pad
  • Stove, pot, fuel
  • Extra dry clothing (you'll be drenched after digging the cave)
