Intensive Basic Skills Night - Mountaineers Seattle Program Center

We're going to go through various things -- nomenclature/nickname conventions (ex: slings vs runners vs cordelettes), material types and their strengths and weaknesses and associated uses (ex: nylon vs dyneema vs dynex vs titan vs etc), qualities to look for in some pieces of gear (ex: crampons fit and number of points, carabiners and gate types, etc), and more. It'll be a fun discussion where you'll get to nerd out to your hearts delight!
