This practice session is for 2016 Intense Basic students who are hoping to get a head start on some of the skills that will be necessary during the 9 day course.

  • Harness
  • Helmet
  • Belay device
  • Personal anchor (sewn double runner or commercial PAS)
  • Hero loop (or 4' of cordelette)
  • 2-3 locking carabiners
  • 2-3 nonlocking carabiners
  • Prusik material (cordelette lengths per the course handbook)
  • Belay gloves
  • Rock shoes and/or Mountaineering boots
  • Any other gear that you have questions about!
