Meet at Stevens Pass parking lot D at 10am PST.   This is the large parking lot on the LEFT as you approach Stevens Pass from the west heading east towards Leavenworth.  Park near the Skyline Ridge Trail which is in the back of the parking area.

Parking lot may require a NW Forest pass.    Recommend displaying one.

From the parking area gear up and practice on the ski slopes all day.  Return to cars, dry off / pack up and head up as roped teams to set up camp.  Set up camp and practice skills.  Go to bed, rest and get up stupid early for a simulated glacier climb.  Return to cars for a n noon departure.

Be prepared for a cold, wet weekend.  Pack extra dry clothing in the car just in case.

Warm clothes,  extra dry clothes, rain gear, gaiters, mountaineering boots

Headlamp + extra batteries

All gear required for the course:  Harness, helmet, ice axe, carabiners, slings, carabiners crampons

Food for two days out plus snacks

10 essentials including map and compass

Snowshoes (optional) - leave the skis at home on this one

Glacier glasses / sunglasses

Sunscreen

GROUP GEAR

Borrow a snow shovel if you can ( 1 per tent)

Stove (1 per tent)

Water filter (1 per tent)
