Practice rigging for vertical and horizontal progression in a canyon environment

TBD but plan on a full day 8am-6pm, meeting at Exit 38 climbers parking

Students will work in pairs practicing a variety of rigging techniques in a canyon environment.  Students will rig multiple types of fixed and releasable systems, and learn the application and context for each. Students also get a chance to practice making decisions about rigging based on a variety of factors including water, rock quality, and team competence. Time permitting, the group will descend a canyon, however the majority of the practice will occur in one section of a beginner canyon that's well-suited to practice a variety of techniques.

All equipment is provided for use during the course. However, if you have your own gear, we encourage you to use it. Please let the instructor know in advance.

The rigging day in Hall Creek will require all canyon gear, including wetsuits, shoes, helmets and whistles. Plan to bring your own lunch.
