You'll discuss on day 6 the meeting place and time for day 7. However, plan for an 8-6 day.
Day 7 is a half-day student-led clinic, followed by a half-day technical test. Students can use the morning to review and practice whatever techniques they need, with the assistance of their fellow classmates and instructors. During the second half of the day, each student will be tested on their ability to execute the following:
- Guided Rappel in a loop
- Releasable system
- Indirect rope cutting
- Converting from descent to ascent and ascending the rope
Required Equipment
All equipment is provided for use during the course. However, if you have your own helmet, whistle, wetsuit, canyon shoes, or canyon-specific descender that you would like to use, let the instructor know in advance.
The clinic & testing day will require technical canyon gear, but wetsuits and shoes are not needed. Plan to bring your own lunch.
