Special Rigging, Basic Rescue, and Review Clinic - Mountaineers Seattle Program Center

A day at the program center learning additional techniques, and practicing for the assessment

Meet at 9am at the Seattle Program Center

The first half of the day will be spent learning new techniques for specific situations.

  • Learn ways to rig anchors using different rope lengths that aren’t ideal for the pitch
  • Learn simple ways to assist a stuck rappeller
  • Begin to understand the canyon rescue hierarchy

During the second half of the day, students will have an opportunity to practice any skills they choose to review and prepare for the in-canyon and technical assessments.
