This clinic will be held at a local mountain bike park (Duthie) and is aimed for those bikepackers who are new to mountain biking and are interested in learning some skills for trips that involve singletrack riding. Drop bars are okay for this clinic.
Objectives:
- Learn about the classification system for mountain biking trails: green, blue, black, and double black ratings
- Learn about body positioning when riding on trails (climbing, coasting, and descending)
- Learn braking skills
- Learn shifting skills
Clinic runs from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
Duthie Hill Park Southwest Parking Lot (47.57357376538165, -121.9880827153439) 26100-26156 SE Issaquah-Fall City Rd, Issaquah, WA 98029
Be ready to depart the parking lot to ride at 6:00pm. No need to pack your bike with all your bikepacking gear, but bring your bikepacking bike (even if you have a mountain bike) so that you can experience riding a green and possibly a blue trail with your bikepacking bike for trail rating context on that bike.
