This clinic is for cyclists and bikepackers interested in getting started using Ride With GPS as a navigation tool for rides and bikepacking trips. No experience with this platform is required; however, there are some pre-clinic requirements (see below).

Clinic focus:

How to use the Ride with GPS (RWGPS) mapping software for cyclists in combination with a GPS device/Smartphone. We will  discuss:

  1. Introduction to navigation tools, pros and cons,
  2. Things to do before you ride
  3. Using the device during the ride
  4. What to do with the data after the ride
  5. Hands-on practice downloading and using RWGPS routes
  6. Resource Links

Suggested readings: Take a peek at what you can do with route planning tools. Even if you never plan to design a route, these are helpful to know in case you need to modify a route you’re on, or change the start location:
