This is a required one day field trip to do a shakedown of your bikepacking gear (bags and all overnight gear), test ride your loaded bike and gauge your current fitness riding a loaded bike.

We will spend about an hour at the trailhead loading all the gear into your bike bags and loading the bags on the bikes, then ride a few miles along the trail to a nice open area where we will set-up a mock camp, have lunch and then return to the trailhead.

Your bike and all overnight bikepacking gear.

We will spend about an hour at the trailhead loading all the gear into your bike bags and loading the bags on the bikes so bring your UNPACKED gear in large bags (big IKEA bags work great) and maybe a tarp to spread it all out. Instuctors will offer help and tips for efficient and safe packing.
