Mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest - Field Trip - Brown Creek Campground
Travel with Tom Keller to Brown Creek Campground to foray for mushrooms. The group will spread out to forage and upon reconvening, Tom will provide help identify mushrooms.

- We will carpool from the back of the Haggen Parking Lot on Cooper Point Road. Meet by the mailbox and ballot box.
- Meet at 7:30am
- Return by 2:30 to 3:00pm.
Directions to Brown Creek Campground
From US 101 turn west onto the Skokomish Valley Road (6 miles north of Shelton and 7 miles south of Hoodsport). Drive west on the Skokomish Valley Road from the George Adams State Fish Hatchery for about 5 miles. Turn right onto Forest Road 23 and drive 9.0 miles. Turn right onto Forest Road 2353 and drive ~0.75 mile to the South Fork Skokomish River Bridge. Cross the bridge and make a sharp turn to the right onto Forest Road 2340. Drive 0.25 mile to Brown Creek Campground (500 ft).

- Be sure to have a buddy to foray with to keep and keep an eye on each other at all times. On most field trips, we spread out in groups of 3 or 4. Never go off by yourself.
