*Preference given to Olympia branch members. Registration opens to all branches January 15, 2023.*

The Backcountry Adventure Ski series offers 4 different backcountry skiing opportunities at a variety of locations in the pacific northwest.  Each outing will challenge your skills while still being within your ski abilities.

While some backcountry ski experience is recommended, there will be opportunities for you to find ski lines that are within your ability.   Our goal is for you to improve your backcountry ski abilities by:

Getting more ski turns in the backcountry!

Familiarizing yourself with your own ski equipment out in the field.

Learning and sharing with others to improve your skill set & review equipment.

Improving your physical stamina.

Please commit only if you can attend the dates listed.  In addition, dates and locations are subject to change based on weather and conditions.  Please be prepared to have flexibility with your schedule.

Note, badge is earned upon completion of 3 out of the 4 field trips and attaining AIARE 1 course certification (we allow 2 seasons to complete the 3 outings and attain AIARE 1)
