Field trip to teach and practice climbing skills to prepare students to confidently lead single and multi-pitch trad climbs. We will work thru leading on single pitch trad and techniques for leading on multi-pitch trad including anchor building, placement of trad protection, belaying a follow and swing leading.  

Meet in parking lot for the Oak Creek Wildlife Area at 8:00 am.

Helmet, harness and climbing shoes.

Cordelette.

Ten essentials.

Bring the protection and slings you have, if any. You will have the opportunity to use available equipment to determine which types you want to purchase for yourself.  Only trad protection is used at Tieton.

Water and food for each day (water is not available onsite).

Adequate gear for your overnight plans.
