Field trip to teach and practice climbing skills to prepare students to confidently lead single and multi-pitch trad climbs.   Part ground school, part climbing.

McCleary Cliffs parking area at Lake Cushman 8 am.

If this area is not open or weather is an issue this field trip may occur at the Kitsap Program Center.

Helmet, harness and climbing shoes.

Ten essentials.

Weather appropriate gear and clothing.  Lunch and water for a day.

Bring any climbing protection you have (e.g. quick draws or trad gear). You will have the opportunity to use available equipment to determine which types you want to purchase for yourself.
