This hands-on clinic is for prospective scramble leadership candidates required to learn and practice using ropes and setting up anchors when leading scramble trips. More details in upcoming email.
Priority to Foothills candidates. Scramble leader candidates from other branches are welcome to request leader permission. Before requesting please first check with your branch to ensure you actually need the clinic and that it will count toward your requirements.

We'll plan to meet at the Summit West parking lot off of Exit 52 at 5 pm (shouldn't be an issue at this hour). Expect to go until 8 pm. We'll work at the deck and on snow hills so no hiking required. Dress warmly.

Required Equipment
Bring the scramble down-climbing kit you received as a student: hasty harness, large carabiner, 4' of 5mm prussik cord, a few extra carabiners. We'll provide the rest.
