In this multi-station workshop, you will practice various snow and rock scrambling techniques in a controlled environment to prepare for your field trips. You will practice:

- How to hold and travel with an ice axe
- How to fit crampons
- Self-arrest position
- Walking in balance
- Turning on slopes

- Ascending a summit block
- Descending a summit block
- Three points of contact
- Scree/talus/boulder travel
- Edging
- Smearing
