The Workshop will be held at Bellevue College room D106. Please arrive as early as possible. Check takes a little time.

Covid
- This is an indoor in-person activity. Masks are required for the entire time we are inside.
- Students and instructors must provide proof of vaccination at check-in in order to participate in this activity. Those without proof will be turned away.

Sign up
Before you can sign up for this activity as a student, you first need to sign up and pay for the "Wilderness Navigation Course - Foothills" (the link to that course is to the right). Instructors do not need to pay.
Prerequisites, both the online Map & Compass and GPS activities must be completed before attending the In-Person Workshop.

Before you Arrive
Please come prepared. After completing the two Online components, you should be prepared with the following:
- Handheld compass with declination set
- Gaia GPS App Loaded on Device
- Recorded at least one track yourself
- Recorded at least one waypoint
- Device fully charged
- Read a Swiss Alps Case Study, here
- Bring a headlamp
- Dress for the outdoors.

* Consider bringing a headlamp and/or magnifying lens to help with reading map fine details
* Food is not allowed. Water is OK.
* Bring a sharp pencil(s) (mechanical pencils work great).
* Bring paper for taking notes. - Maps

Rescheduling or cancellation
In-Person Workshop registration closes one week before the Workshop. If you must cancel or reschedule, please do so as soon as you can to make room for people on the waitlist. After registration closes you can make changes by contacting the course leader or by contacting Member Services.
Instructors
Come prepared to instruct students who likely have a wide range of experience:
- Attend the online Workshop Instructor trining session.
- Review the GPS Online Module.
- Bring smart phone with Gaia GPS loaded and operational.
- Bring your compass.
- Maps will be provided. However, you are welcome to bring your own Baring Quad if you have one.
