Field trip: GoHike: Alumni Course
GoHike - Alumni Day Hike - Northern State Ghost Town
Winter time is a great time to explore Northern State Recreation Area, a Skagit County Park, near Sedro Woolley. Lovely meadows and wooded areas with bridge crossings of Hansen and Hilltop Creeks. There is no ghost town, but it is the old site of the Northern State Mental Hospital farm, which closed in 1973.
