We will walk in to Fairhaven, where we will enjoy a group breakfast and then return to our starting point. Participants will need to bring money for breakfast and have a Discover Pass for each vehicle.
Leaders is estimating elevation gain is estimated to be less than 300'. WTA, Mountaineers and Whatcom County Parks all do not mention elevation. The trail is generally flat, or gently rolling in my opinion.
It may be possible for a participant to meet us at the North Chuckanut trail head and make this a 4 mile urban walk/hike instead of 8 miles round trip. Leaders permission is needed in advance to request this option.
Meet at Lost Lake parking lot at 7:30 am. There are vault toilets available here and a port-a-potty at the North Chuckanut trail head mid way.
Required Equipment
Your leader will send out a Hello Hiker email prior to the hike with details on the hike, as well as recommended and required equipment.
