Field trip: GoHike: Beginner Hiking Course

May Hikes: 3 to 5.5 miles, 300 to 1,250 feet gain - Snoquera Falls Loop

Journey through some old-growth forests (almost like what you'd see in the Olympics!) en route to a waterfall near Rainier. Good hike for those looking for something a bit more on the challenging side. This hike counts toward your monthly required GoHike course May trips.

Note that this hike is on the shorter side of the May GoHike distance range, but on the higher end of the elevation gain range.  Mathematics tells us that this means that the hike will be steep :)

Thus, poles are recommended on this hike and, if inclines concern you, bear that in mind when deciding whether to join this hike: it's likely that most other May GoHike hikes will be less steep than this one.

We will meet at 8am at the Snoquera falls trailhead.
