Red Town and the general area was site of numerous small towns supporting large scale mining. The area is now over grown, but still has contains evidence this past with mine shafts throughout. Hike from former Red Town (start at trailhead) to the Far Country Falls. From the falls, we will continue to on the Shy Bear trail to the Far Country lookout. We will retreat to connect with the Red Town trail and continue back to our start. Along the way, we will visit the Ford mine shaft opening.
8:45am at Red Town Trailhead Parking (Hike at 9:00am), off of Lakemont Blvd SE, Bellevue
