GoHike Pace Hikes are low-stress hikes to help you determine where you are in terms of gear, the pace (1.5 - 2 mph) and distance you can complete comfortably. These trips are designed to assist you in developing your goals for conditioning and hiking trips, so that you can determine what level of hikes and pace would be the best fit for you to sign up for - no pressure, no judgment!

The trails we will be taking are rooty and tend to be a little muddy after rain. We will hike at a moderate pace, taking breaks when needed. Our route is a loop that will take us around parts of the Paradis Valley Conservation area. The trail system supports different activities, and we will need to be aware of any bikers on the multi-use trails.

If time we can stop at ‘The Clearing’ for a short snack break.

My Expectations:

  • All prepared to hike whatever the weather. (with the exception of severe weather!)
  • Group stays together (to see one another at all times) and supports one another.
  • That we treat one another with respect, compassion, and understanding.
  • That you’re on time at the parking lot prepared and ready to be social and engaging

My Style:

  • Hike at a pace comfortable to all and within the pace listed. Appreciate nature and pointing out the beauty we see around us. I’m a leader that appreciates engaged participants
