Field trip: GoHike: Beginner Hiking Course
July Hikes: 3.75 to 6.5 miles, 500 to 1,750 feet gain - Lord Hill Regional Park
We will explore this vast evergreen preserve of over 1,463 acres. Once the homestead site of Michell Lord in the 1800s, for whom the park is named, it now has over 30 miles of designated trails upon which we will hike through beautiful evergreen forest, around ponds and along trails where we will have views of the Snohomish River and Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges. This hike counts toward your monthly required GoHike course July trips.

My Style: I like to hike together as a group taking breaks as needed. My goal is for us to enjoy the forest, river, waterfalls and wildlife along the way, which includes making stops to take pictures or discussing a plant or a bird.
We will meet at the South parking lot. This is a southern entrance to the park located near the Snohomish River. A porta potty is located near the parking lot. Note: Most hikes start in the North parking lot, we are starting and ending our hike at the South Parking lot.
