March GoHike Pacing Hikes: 2 to 4 miles, 0 to 750 feet of elevation gain - Lord Hill Regional Park

We will hike the Beaver Lake Trail, a 2.0 mile gentle hike through the vast evergreen forest of this 1,463-acre upland nature preserve of Lord Hill Park near Snohomish, WA. This hike is intended to help you determine what pace and challenge level you want to start with in the series.

  • Pace: 1.5 - 2 mph

Meet at 8AM at the north trailhead parking area for Lord Hill park, at 12921 150th St SE, Snohomish, WA 98290. Arrive early enough to be geared up and use the restrooms. Google map location https://goo.gl/maps/hyQfE69hnX5autvp8.

The Mountaineers do not currently recommend carpooling with anyone outside your household due to the risk of Covid-19.

We will be hiking the Beaver Pond Trail, a gentle 2 mile out and back hike. We plan to lead from 1.5 to 2 mph so you can get a sense of what that pace feels like and be able to determine what pace you are comfortable with or might want to condition for. The trails are well maintained but can be muddy. Hiking shoes or boots are required. Poles are optional.
