Meet at 7AM at the Green Lake Park and Ride. Be prepared to use your own transportation if pandemic restrictions haven't been lifted and carpooling is forbidden (except for same household). We will then caravan to Cle Elum and park near the trailhead at Flagpole Park.

There is some parking near the entrance of the trail and no parking passes are required.

Co-ordinates: 47.1961-120.9443

We will walk gradually up along many old coal mining slag piles and farm houses toward Roslyn. The Coal Mines Trail is well-maintained and as wide as a dirt road.

When we reach Rosyln, we will take a 30 minute break to explore the town and grab something to eat (on your own). We will then return to Cle Elum on the same trail.

Afraid of blisters? Try coating your feet with vaseline and/or wearing wool socks. Trekking poles will also help going downhill and helping with posture and balance.

Cloth face coverings are required and must be worn when passing others or when closer than 6' to others in the party.

All group members must carry either alcohol-based  hand sanitizer or biodegradable soap.

This activity will be structured to maintain 6' whenever possible (brief periods closer than 6’ are acceptable).
