This is a great beginner hike in South King County and is a lovely paved trail that winds its way along a creek from the beach to a park, following the greenbelt.

We will hike at an easy pace with frequent check-in's with participants along the way, allowing time to learn about some of the local plants/trees and having a chance to socialize as well.

Meet at 10AM at the Kent-Des Moines Park and Ride, 23405 Military Rd S, Kent, WA 98032, and we will form up into carpools there for the ride to the trailhead.  Google map location https://goo.gl/maps/BZW8zKZotRr8nngy5.

We will start and end our hike from the DesMoines Beach Park where restrooms are available.  No special parking pass is needed to park here.

A light day pack with water and snacks will be sufficient, and day hiking boots or trail running shoes will be good footwear.  Dressing in non-cotton layers is a good idea since the temperature and weather conditions may change during our hiking time.
