Field trip: GoHike: Beginner Hiking Course
August Hikes: 4 miles to 7 miles, 600 to 2,000 feet gain - Summerland
This is an iconic Mt. Rainier hike! We will hike to the mountain's back door, with incredible views. Hike through dark forests to flower filled alpine meadows to Summerland. Old growth forests greet us, switchbacks beckon, as we climb higher through old growth forest. Soon the switchbacks end as we take our final steps into the wildflower meadows. This hike counts toward your monthly required GoHike course August trips.
